River Barrow Events

 

The River Barrow and neighbouring towns and villages play host to a wide array of festivals and events throughout the year. These include:

 

Barrow River Arts Festival - A new arts festival featuring music, theatre, poetry and more. Venue include Graiguenamanagh and Borris. The next Barrow River Arts Festival will take place from 9th - 11th May 2014

 

Graiguenamanagh "Town of Books" Festival - On the 13th-15th September, the Town Of Books Festival in Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny will feature many events: readings & workshops for all ages, theatre, music, & a host of a tempting food, crafts and interesting activities at the traditional Michaelmas fair.

 

Carlow Garden Festival - For novice gardeners to garden connoisseurs, garden designs to GIY gourmets, grandparents to grandchildren, painters to photographers and family fun for all. This event complements The Carlow Garden Trail.

 

Carlow Arts Festival - An annual multi-disciplinary festival in the south east of Ireland showcasing a diverse range of arts and cultural events over 10 days each June.

 

King Of The Barrow Festival  - A coarse angling festival hosted by the Carlow Coarse Angling Club every year in July.
